Moving Forward with RemoteView
RemoteView-UNIX Release 2.36.8. This new release includes important new design features representing a major advance in performance and capability. This release demonstrates Overwatch Systems’ ongoing commitment to our substantial UNIX customer base.
We are continuing our process of redesigning the interface and architectures for RemoteView UNIX and Windows to evolve toward complete interoperability and user interface consistency. In this release we have incorporated a major step forward allowing for full folder and template sharing between UNIX and Windows users with a new folder and template conversion utility.
RemoteView UNIX continues our tradition of being ready for future requirements before they become current requirements. This new release includes updates for JPEG 2000 image format implementation and is FIA compliant. This release also incorporates support for our powerful new iGeoPos integrated targeting precision coordinate solution for the first time on UNIX. iGeoPos has been certified for targeting using any combination of NTM and/or DPPDB imagery and it runs within your existing UNIX workstation. No additional hardware or switching between applications is required.
RemoteView UNIX remains the most widely used and tested ELT product on the market, from the national level all the way to tactical deployments. We are committed to our UNIX product baseline and will continue to commit substantial research and development resources in order to issue timely and important new product releases for the indefinite future.
Over the next 36 months many of our current UNIX customers are scheduled for recapitalization conversions to Windows. We are committed to making this process as efficient and cost effective as possible. If your organization is considering the move to Windows please contact us for a free evaluation copy and on-site demonstration.
We value your support as a RemoteView UNIX user organization and as always we welcome your comments and suggestions. Thank you,
The RemoteView Development Team
