Sensor Systems Unveils 64-bit Version of RemoteView for Windows

Sensor Systems has ported RemoteView-Pro to the Microsoft Windows XP Professional X64-Edition operating system. Nearly every PC manufactured today – desktop or workstation – is shipped with 64-bit capable processors. Now, RemoteView-64 brings this power to bear on previously intractable image processing problems.

Modern image processing and analysis requirements are stretching the capabilities of 32-bit architectures with their limitations on memory addressability. The new 64-bit version of RemoteView breaks the limitations inherent in older systems while improving overall performance.

RV-64 allows analysts to build extremely large virtual mosaics, covering a significant fraction of the earth's entire land surface. Previous versions of RemoteView limited virtual mosaic creation to approximately two terabytes. RV-64 allows virtual mosaics of nearly unlimited sizes.

In keeping with the display requirements associated with huge images covering large geographic extents at very high resolution, RV-64 supports multiple high resolution displays driven by multiple graphics cards. For example, RV-64 fully supports dual PCI express graphics cards on the HP9300 workstation.

RV-64 has been tested on both Intel EM64T and AMD64 processors.

RemoteView is the leading application for the interpretation and analysis of   imagery for government and defense applications. It includes tools for precision geolocation and measurement, product generation, wide area search, three dimensional image visualization, vector analysis and web-based database access.

RemoteView-64 will be available in summer '05.
