Sensor Systems Announces Release 1.9 of RemoteView-Pro
for Windows in January 2001
Sterling, VA, December 15, 2000 - Sensor Systems announced today the release of RemoteView Professional version 1.9 for Windows 2000/NT/98 platforms which will be available right after the first of the year. RemoteView Professional is the premier software application for the import, viewing, reporting and analysis of commercial remote sensing data. RemoteView Professional version 1.9 incorporates greatly expanded vector, GIS, multispectral and workflow enhancement capabilities making RemoteView the leading Windows-based image exploitation and analysis package that combines both very large image-handling capabilities with the most widely used GIS and multispectral tools.
With the release of the latest version of RemoteView Professional users have access to a new class of tool uniquely capable of extracting the maximum value from the new class of commercial high-resolution satellite images. RemoteView Professional offers many new features and capabilities, including a powerful, comprehensive tool for creating and editing vector data, including attributes, in the popular ESRI® shape file format within the context of gigabyte image files, such as those now becoming available commercially from Space Imaging, EarthWatch and OrbImage. New multispectral tools incorporated into RemoteView give users the ability to perform both supervised as well as unsupervised classifications on multispectral imagery. An easy-to-use Classification Wizard invokes a new classification tool that even those new to multispectral classification can understand and use. Using the Classification Wizard users can even generate classification signatures or import them from previous work.
Full stereo support in the Windows 2000 version and dual monitor support make the analysis of stereo pairs easy and efficient. In addition, the ability to take advantage of the increased geospatial accuracy provided by rational polynomial coefficients (RPC’s) embedded in commercial satellite imagery data give mensuration projects increased accuracy and value. With the latest version Sensor Systems has also expanded the image formats supported by RemoteView to include most commercial satellite formats, full-frame National imagery, GeoTIFF and ERDAS® .img.
RemoteView Professional Version 1.9 raises the standard for powerful end-to-end processing and production tools in an easy-to-use application with an intuitive interface and fast learning curve, allowing users to extract maximum value from satellite imagery and become more productive quickly.
