Sensor Systems Announces Release 2.22 of RemoteView-Pro for Windows 2000/XP/NT
Sensor Systems has announced the release of RemoteView Professional version 2.2 for Windows 2000/XP/NT platforms. RemoteView Professional now brings powerful new features to its users, such as the ability to create “on-the-fly” orthophotos, advanced graphical functions, and automatic search and review analyses. RemoteView Professional version 2.2 expands the frontiers of imagery-based geospatial exploitation by making the highest geo-accuracy of commercial high resolution satellite data available to both experienced and new users. As usual, Sensor Systems has maintained its hallmark of offering powerful and robust image processing, GIS, multispectral and image calibration tools all within one easy-to-use exploitation and analysis application.
RemoteView builds upon previous features, which include tools for correcting images and vector layers, a completely automatic mosaic tool, and the ability to actually co-register one image into the image space of another. RemoteView Professional 2.2 now allows users to create real-time, map-accurate, orthorectified images using either rational coefficients or rigorous camera models and the associated digital elevation data. RemoteView can now also exploit lidar data, and perform volumetric calculations. Users can also take full advantage of the increased geospatial accuracy of high resolution imagery due to sensor camera model support for the QuickBird and Ikonos imaging satellites, and for Image America’s digital aerial camera.
Additional vector tools have been added, making the extraction and editing of vector data even easier. A polygon/polyline convolution tool (think shrink-wrap!) allows users to extract irregularly shaped vectors without tedious heads-up digitization, and individual vector records can now be split or joined. The user interface has also been improved to make it even more user friendlier. As usual, RemoteView continues to offer the user the ability to extract vectors over large images while roaming, zooming in and out, and enhancing images such as looking into shadowed areas, without having to stop and re-start the vectorization process.
Automatic image softcopy search and review capabilities have been added, giving users a powerful means of searching images for target features. Users can review an image over specified point locations, within defined area boundaries, and along multi-segment linear routes that are either user defined or opened from existing vector files. By varying the search speed and leaving a “snail trail” of user defined color and opacity, a user has full control over the search process and its progress. RemoteView Professional 2.2 also offers an improved Overview window, with its own dynamic range adjustment, zoom and contrast controls for improved image review and contextual interpretation.
Other enhancements include the addition of “count tags”, which allow a user to use a pre-defined set of symbols to identify certain features or targets and automatically keep a count of each type of identified features. RemoteView Professional 2.2 has added support for certain mpeg motion image sets, and can extract the metadata or coordinates, and geo-register individual video frames.
Once again, RemoteView Professional Version 2.2 raises the standard for powerful end-to-end processing and production tools in an easy-to-use application with an intuitive interface and fast learning curve, providing the tools for users to extract maximum value from satellite and aerial imagery and quickly become more productive.
