Space Imaging selects RemoteView from Sensor Systems
for inclusion in CARTERRA™ Analyst
Sterling, VA, October 11, 1999 - Sensor Systems announced today that Space Imaging has selected RemoteView as the image visualization and analysis component of the CARTERRA™ Analyst software product. CARTERRA Analyst bridges the gap between geographic information systems (GIS) and remote sensing tools for managing, processing, analyzing, and generating satellite imagery-derived products such as maps, reports and 3D visualization products.

RemoteView from Sensor Systems is the industry's leading application for the exploitation of large-scale digital imagery from sources such as high-resolution remote sensing satellites and aerial systems. RemoteView provides an impressive array of features to extract maximum available data and utility from digital images and image products such as vector based map files. RemoteView-Pro's user interface is streamlined and efficient providing optimal user workflow and productivity, seamlessly allowing users to roam over gigabyte-sized images using industry standard UNIX and NT workstations.
RemoteView products have been specially tuned to take maximum advantage of the new generation of commercial one-meter satellites such as Space Imaging's IKONOS, the world's first and only high-resolution commercial Earth imaging satellite. On Tuesday, Oct. 12 at Space Imaging's headquarters in Thornton, Colo. , the company will release the first public image - a city in North America -- collected by IKONOS. At 11:30 a.m. (MDT) that day, the image will be available for downloading from the company's Web site, www.spaceimaging.com.
