Sensor Systems Announces Foreign Language Localization
Program for RemoteView

Sterling, VA, January 17, 2000 – Sensor Systems announced today the release of a Japanese language version of RemoteView-Pro. This release is simply the first of several localized versions planned for the next year as Sensor moves to meet the demand of its growing international clientele. Current plans call for localized versions in French, German, Spanish and Russian.  Japanese was selected as the first localized version due to large contracts with customers in Japan and the strong commitment to satellite imagery in the Japanese market.

“This is an exciting time for Sensor Systems as our foreign sales are encountering explosive growth,’ said Kirk Brown President of Sensor Systems. “With the advent of new commercial one-meter satellite imagery from companies like Space Imaging, OrbImage and EarthWatch the international market potential for our products is enormous. Previously only the superpowers could afford the systems necessary to collect and process this type of data. Today the imagery is affordable and readily available to governments and commercial organizations worldwide. We want to extend our industry leading products into these markets with localization for both language and technical conventions in order to better serve the needs of our international clientele.”

RemoteView from Sensor Systems is the industry’s leading application for the exploitation of large-scale digital imagery from sources such as high-resolution remote sensing satellites and aerial systems. RemoteView-Pro’s user interface is streamlined and efficient providing optimal user workflow and productivity, seamlessly allowing users to roam over gigabyte-sized images using industry standard UNIX and NT workstations.
