Sensor Systems Announces New Commercial Marketing Director

Sterling, VA, January 17, 2000 – Sensor Systems is pleased to welcome David G. Mohr as a Director of Marketing focused on the commercial markets created by the advent of high resolution remote sensing platforms such as the new one-meter IKONOS satellite from Space Imaging.  Mr. Mohr will head up Sensor Systems’ new Colorado office and be responsible for the development of commercial markets as well as assisting in defining strategy, product positioning and product development.

Mr. Mohr comes to us after having served as Director of New Business Development with RESOURCE21, a commercial satellite remote sensing firm focusing on agricultural applications.  At RESOURCE21 Mr. Mohr was responsible for analyzing new potential markets, estimating market size, and generating product concepts.  While there he also managed the development of the RESOURCE21 business plan, which successfully attracted strategic investors.  Prior to that Mr. Mohr served with the Central Intelligence Agency in a variety of capacities, including technical intelligence analyst, technical operations officer, technical program manager in remote sensing programs and business advisor.  Mr. Mohr holds BS and MS degrees in aerospace engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as well as an MBA from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium.  He has also studied at the University of Heidelberg and the Technical University of Munich in Germany.
