DGI 2008 is Europe’s largest annual gathering dedicated to high-level discussion addressing the major challenges of the defence and government geospatial intelligence community. Bringing together Heads of Geospatial Intelligence, GIS, Remote Sensing, Operations, and Imagery and Analysis, the conference provides a unique forum to discuss and debate the development of geospatial intelligence capabilities across the globe.

Addressing the use of geospatial information in scenarios such as international conflicts, humanitarian disasters, crime, security, border control, arms treaty monitoring and global climate change, a fundamental objective of the event is to help organisations understand how to build the necessary infrastructure and architecture to take advantage of geospatial intelligence capabilities, as well tackle the challenges of interoperability so that organisations can collaborate effectively with each other.

RemoteView Windows users will now be able to utilize the most accurate and rigorous sensor models available to the DoD community. The CSM sensor models include those used in the Joint Targeting Workstation (JTW) as part of the Precision Targeting Workstation (PTW). The Community Sensor Model program was designed to bring the power of a large variety of rigorous sensor models to RemoteView users. These include GlobalHawk EO and SAR, ASARS-2A, SYERS-2, and sensor models used on other tactical platforms including F-16 TARS MAEO, SHARP, APS-149, as well as national models
including DPPDB and others. These sensor models will provide more accurate geolocation capability as well as the new capability to register tactical images to national control images using the most accurate and photogrammetricaly rigorous methods. The models can also be used for Multi-Image Geopositioning (MIG). The CSM sensor models can be requested
by customers directly from the CSM program office and can be installed in any directory on the system or network. The models will load as plugin modules when RemoteView is started up.
