Overwatch Systems in Sterling, Virginia is a leading developer of sophisticated image-centric geospatial analysis software.  Our geospatial intelligence software products combine a wide range of image enhancement, 3-D, geodetic analysis, GIS, multispectral and precision-positioning tools.  We are looking for talented and innovative software development professionals to join our team as we develop high-performance applications for high resolution commercial and government imaging satellites, as well as tactical airborne imaging platforms.

Web Services Engineer
Applicants must be accomplished Web developers experienced in the entire software development lifecycle. Successful candidates will have the ability to prioritize and to complete multiple concurrent tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Position reports directly to Senior Engineer

Qualifications
Knowledge of HTML, XML, Java, JavaScript and related technologies
SOAP, AJAX

Experience with Web Services/Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
Applicants with knowledge in one or more of the following areas a definite plus:

  • C++
  • Experience in Windows software development using Microsoft Developer Studio/Visual C++
  • Oracle, SQL Server, or other ODBC compatible database
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Clearcase preferred)
  • Image Processing, Remote Sensing, GIS, Photogrammetry

Individuals with current SSBI or SSBI with Polygraph clearances are especially encouraged to apply.
US citizenship and eligibility for security clearance is required


Experience Requirements
4+ years of professional (i.e., not academic) software development experience in a team environment preferred.

Education Requirements
Four year degree in computer science or an engineering discipline.
